The company subsidiaries are I&M (T) ltd, I&M Realty Ltd and I&M Insurance Agency Ltd The company provides banking, financial and related services through its banking subsidiaries in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Mauritius. It offers personal and business transaction accounts, recurring deposits, and term and fixed deposits, as well as savings accounts for children; home and car loans; overdraft and term loans; e-commerce payment and salary processing services; trade finance services, including letters of credit, guarantees, and bill discounting services; and insurance premium financing services. The company also provides foreign exchange and fund transfer services, tax payment services, bancassurance, and agency banking services; and investment management services.

The company announced plans to acquire 65 per cent of Burbidge Capital Limited a corporate finance advisory firm based in Kenya and Uganda with a focus on large and mid-sized companies in the region. The Company also reached an agreement to buy out tier III lender Giro Commercial Bank due to similarity in strategy for both banks which is focus on retail and SME.
