REA Vipingo Plantations Limited is a Kenya-based holding company engaged in the cultivation of sisal and the production of sisal fiber. The principal businesses of its subsidiary companies comprise the cultivation and production of sisal and horticultural produce, manufacture of sisal yarns and twines, sisal export and commission agent and property holding. The Company operates through two segments: Agriculture and Spinning. The Agriculture segment is engaged in the cultivation of sisal, production of sisal fiber and cultivation of horticultural crops and other related services. The Spinning segment is engaged in the conversion of sisal fiber into yarns and twines. It has two sisal estates in Kenya (Dwa Estate and Vipingo Estate) and owns three sisal estates in Tanzania (the Mwera, Sakura and Kigombe estates).
