Kurwitu Ventures is a  provider of sharia compliant investment products with a focus on attracting Islamic investors into the capital markets.  Kurwitu Ventures has a key focus on the agricultural sector and non-agriculture ventures that meet the key Sharia Compliance Test. The company also provides Investment Products that can be classified as off- balance sheet activities in the form of asset backed securities, real estate investment trusts and investment notes. The company had disclosed in its listing statement that it intended to reduce the share price through several capital restructuring strategies such as splits, rights and bonus issues. In its last annual general meeting held in March last year, Kurwitu had indicated that it intended to make a cash call on its shareholders to raise Sh187 million through convertible debt.
