The uncertainty of an open digital market was not reassuring to investors. With a camera and a channel, anyone can start a TV station and broadcast on the digital platform. The quality difference would not be different.

Its universe is the stocks trading on the Nairobi Securities Exchange that meet the selection criteria set out by the index. This is a Total Return Index reflecting both price movements and the reinvested dividend income. A Price Return Index is also available; these indices are available in both Kenya Shillings and US dollars.
